Marcy Howard was born and raised in the Clarinda community. She graduated in 1993 from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri with her Bachelors in Psychology. After her education at NWMSU she worked in a variety of sectors of the human services field including a residential treatment facility for youth, assisting with Social Security Disability and as a Behavioral Health Invention Specialist provider. Marcy returned to school to complete her Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. She has been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor since 2017, working mainly with residential treatment and community mental health issues. Marcy is certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She is currently pursuing her certification in EDMR.
