Clarinda Regional Health Center (CRHC) has dietitian services that include assessing inpatients who are at nutritional risk, providing medical nutrition therapy for outpatient clinics at CRHC, wellness counseling, weight management counseling, as well as diabetes counseling.
All acute care patients found to be at nutritional risk and all skilled patients are assessed by the dietitian in a timely fashion. Care is coordinated with the health care team and regular follow up visits are conducted to monitor a patient’s progress.
Outpatient visits are arranged through a doctor’s referral. Once the dietitian receives a consult, the registered dietitian will call to set-up an appointment time. Outpatients should check-in at the main lobby reception/admissions desk.
One-one-one consults with the dietitian may cover topics such as:
► Diabetes
► Hyperlipidemia
► Hypertension
► Heart Disease
► Lactose Intolerance
► Decrease in Appetite
► Celiac Disease
