Jenn Sands, CPT
Wellness Specialist
Jenn Sands brings a wealth of experience and passion to her role as a Wellness Specialist at Clarinda Regional Health Center. Her fitness journey began in 2005 after a back injury led her to start exercising at the Lied Center. What began with sessions on the elliptical quickly evolved when Jenn taught herself to run, finding it far more exciting than "watching grass grow." In the spring of 2006, she completed her first race—a marathon—and has since finished five marathons, solidifying running as her first love.
Teaching fitness became her second passion when she began leading group fitness classes at the Lied Center. From 2013 to 2023, Jenn expanded her expertise, offering her own morning and evening classes. Balancing multiple jobs eventually led to her "retirement" from teaching, but she has now returned to fitness full-time, living her dream job at CRHC.
Jenn holds certifications as a Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer, initially earning her training certification in 2010 to deepen her knowledge. She recertified for her position at CRHC, where she leads the popular Jennsanity AM and PM classes and Kickstart sessions. Jenn also offers personal training tailored to clients’ individual needs. Whether you're looking to join a class or schedule personalized training, Jenn is here to support your fitness journey.
