Emergency Medicine

Our caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable emergency staff are ready for life’s medical emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The emergency department (E.D.) is staffed by a physician or a mid-level provider (with a physician on-call) around the clock. Our E.D. nursing staff are experienced caregivers with advanced training in trauma (TNCC), pediatric advanced life support (PALS), advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), and neonatal resuscitation (NRP).

The emergency department cares for an average of 450 patients per month. We work closely with our EMS, radiology, lab, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, and Med/Surg departments to ensure that you receive care specialized to meet your needs. We utilize a team approach to your care providing Stroke Alert, Trauma Alert, Cardiac Alert, and Code Blue teams to respond to your emergency. We also have 24/7 access to our 40-slice CT scanner and expert radiological interpretation as well as on-call surgeon consultation to provide you with expert diagnosis and treatment.

The emergency department at CRHC is a Level IV Trauma Center. This designation means that we are able to provide trauma treatment and stabilization services and transport to a Level I, II, or III Trauma Center if needed. Our collaboration with Lifenet Air Ambulance provides another option to get you to a larger hospital quickly when needed.

We are continuously striving to provide an excellent experience for you. We measure your satisfaction with your experience using a Healthstream Patient Satisfaction Survey. We are so proud that you have rated us consistently in the top 80th percentile in the country in regards to your experience with our care.

While we hope that you are able to stay healthy and happy, please know that we are always here for you. It is our pleasure and purpose to help.
