Clarinda, IA, | (October 5, 2017): Clarinda Regional Health Center (CRHC) proudly announces that Molly Gilmore, MSED, RD, LD has been named the Iowa Emerging Dietetic Leader of the Year by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. This award recognizes a dietitian who has made distinctive contributions early in their career. Dietitians who receive this honor support the promotion of optimal health and nutritional status of the public through demonstrating leadership in legislation, research, education, management, or other areas related to the profession.
Gilmore was presented with this award during the Iowa Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics 2017 Annual Meeting held in Ames, Iowa on October 3rd, 2017.
Gilmore is the Senior Manager of Nutrition Services at CRHC and manages the dietitians, dietary department, is an inpatient and outpatient dietitian, conducts Annual Medicare Wellness Visits, and the One Step Garden program.

Gilmore received her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri, and completed her dietetic internship through Iowa State University. She then returned to Northwest Missouri State University and obtained a Master’s Degree in Health and Physical Education, with a Health Science emphasis.
