Clarinda, IA | (January 3, 2019) —
The Clarinda Regional Health Center has been tabbed the Favorite Hospital for 2018 in a recent reader’s poll survey by the Weekly Times newspaper. The poll included readers in six counties– Page, Taylor, Fremont, Montgomery, Adams and Mills.
Weekly Times readers also selected Amy Wilmes, ARNP as the Favorite Provider in that same six-county area. Additionally, Kevin Ketter and Bobby Hess were named co-winners in the Favorite Physical Therapist category.
In other categories, CRHC was chosen as the favorite health care facility to work as an employee and the Auxiliary-operated gift shop was selected as the favorite hospital gift shop. Finally, the Clarinda Medical Foundation was chosen as the Favorite hospital charity.
CRHC CEO Chuck Nordyke says he’s thrilled to hear about these award designations. “I knew when I arrived in Clarinda six months ago this is a special place.” Nordkye adds, “While I am so very proud of our staff for achieving these patient-centered awards, I truly believe the best is yet to come.”
This is the inaugural year for the Weekly Times Reader’s Choice Awards. Publisher John Van Nostrand says, “Our Reader’s Choice survey is designed to recognize and honor all the service and retail outlets we have throughout southwest Iowa. We will begin surveying the 2019 Reader’s Choices in June.”
