Clarinda, IA. | (October 12, 2017): On November 7th, voters will go to the polls in the Clarinda City Election to vote for three Board members for Clarinda Regional Health Center's Board of Trustees. Candidates running are the two incumbents, Dale McAllister and Stanley Johnson. The other four candidates include Katherine Boysen, Dale Fulk, Kalen Herzberg and Rob Marsh.
The public is invited to attend a 90-minute candidate's forum on Wednesday, October 25th at 7:00 p.m. at the Clarinda High School auditorium. Clarinda High School veteran Social Studies Teacher Mike Smith will serve as the event's moderator. Smith, a lead teacher in Clarinda's TLC Program, will be assisted with question composition by his high school students.
Event attendees will also have a chance to submit handwritten questions on the night of the event. The audience questions will be randomly selected to help backfill the student's questions during this 90-minute forum. Each candidate will have an opportunity to answer every question posed and the response order will be progressive so that each candidate will have the opportunity to be the first to answer.
