Clarinda, IA | — For public record, the accounting firm of Seim Johnson, LLP released an audit report for Clarinda Regional Health Center, Clarinda, Iowa on September 24, 2018.
The Health Center’s unrestricted operating revenue totaled $34,388,633 for the year ended June 30, 2018, a 4.7% increase from the prior year. Total revenue included $30,767,832 in net patient service revenue and $3,620,801 in other operating revenue. Net nonoperating revenue was ($717,366) which was comprised of $117,656 in investment income and ($835,022) in other nonoperating expenses, net.
Operating expenses for the year totaled $33,425,486, a 3.3% increase from the prior year, and included $16,974,201 for salaries and employee benefits; $10,167,388 for supplies and other expenses; $3,383,207 for professional fees and purchased services; and $2,439,742 for depreciation, amortization and interest.
CRHC Chief Financial Officer Milton Trabal says, “We are pleased with the overall results of our latest audit report.” He goes on to say, “Our staff continues to do a fantastic job identifying processes which enhance our ability to deliver Advanced Care to all of our patients.”
